The Green Glamper

Two weekends ago was definitely an active one. After discovering my penchant for golf, the hubby and I took to the farmlands of Staffordshire where we descended upon WOOD FARM to glamp [glamour + camp] it up as part of the last stretch of 30th Birthday celebrations for my dear friend Syreeta
Despite warnings of "heavy rain" we still braved the idea of camping outdoors in style, and although it seemed as though we were destined to have great weather for our entire trip, in true British style the rain greeted us. We went from boiling and sweating in shorts to having to retreat and put on our fighting gear--I forgot my wellies, but remembered the rain coats and what not.

We lost four of our 17-man army, casualties of this glamping/weather war. With no proper equipment, gear, or tent they were forced to retreat, bid their adieus and leave us missing their company. However, in their defeat I was inspired. I took to the blog as soon as we returned to base camp (i.e. home) and started compiling my list of ethical must-haves the next time we went into battle. From Organic Suncream to Roma Wellies, next time rain or shine I'll be marching out, guns blazing.
