FASHION | House of Holland, LFW RTW S/S 13

17.9.12

The soundtrack blasted, and suddenly the club kid inside emerged. The NCP car park became the backdrop, the arena, the clubhouse for Henry Holland's HOUSE OF HOLLAND with the music as loud as the prints the models rocked. Neon Tartans, bold florals, and acidic tie-dyes, which reeked a juxtaposition of eclectic and sophistication. I am currently obsessing over his neon tartan trousers (to DIE FOR!)

For those of us familiar with HoH, the fashion label stands for the very essence of London. It's very life, rooted in the attitudes and culture of this city, whilst moving towards sustainable fashion which he sees as a desirable concept for his brand.
This goes from the textiles to the very events Holland hosts, which feed back into his charities--in particular LABOUR BEHIND THE LABEL, which supports garment workers' efforts worldwide to improve their working conditions, through awareness raising, information provision and encouraging international solidarity between workers and consumers. As a result, we celebrate House of Holland today as part of our Fashion Week Series. Enjoy!
